Thanks to Nellie for a nice idea.
May I offer a modification? Pupils may inadvertently erase the "marks" 
column, or purposefully or otherwise unhide the column with the answers 
and see them. To make the spreadsheet "pupil proof" I suggest you 
protect columns B, C and D (preferably with a password)
