I'm sure this strikes a nerve with all of us, especially parents.
For example, how many of us shell out money we can ill
afford on private lessons because our kids have a lousy
Math/ Eng./ Chemistry teacher and speaking at school will
only make things for our child worse? Principals often give
backing to lousy teachers and nothing is gained; speaking to
the teacher has almost never helped, I have found.
(Yes, I HAVE tried, very diplomatically!)
I can only say that in the best interest of the child,
I wouldn't speak to the teacher because unfortunately some
teachers DO take out their frustration on the pupil in the end.
Grin, bear with it and explain to the kid that unfortunately,
life stinks sometimes. Unfortunately, welcome to the real world.
