Lists and colons are among my pet peeves, as well, and I, too, come down
pretty hard on my students who use them. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem
to help much. Today, I marked book reports written by kids who have been
studying with me since last year. Half of them didn't bother writing in
paragraphs. GRR!!!
