I have just finished marking the Meitzav tests for 8th grade.  The
writing task was to write about someone special expaining why they were
special.  What amazing things these kids wrote.  What a shame that their
parents aren't able to read what the kids think of them (most of the
children wrote about their mothers or fathers).  It really was
heartwarming that 14 year olds are able to express their feelings so
nicely in English.  On the whole they seemed to do pretty well on the
test so we must be doing something right!
