Hi Etnians
This is what happened to our English team in the continuing story of 
the internet homework issue. I would like to know what the rest of you
think about all this.
Yesterday we had a staff 
meeting together the principal and the head of Ort schools central 
region. Also the new mefakachat of English in Ort was there, she seems 
to be the one keen on the whole thing. We already have a school and a 
reshet website for Ort so that is not the issue. It seems that they are 
going to make us take part in a series of hishtalmuyot on the matter and
then implement it.
we raised a series of objections as follows:
1. timing - they want us to start implementation in April which seems 
ridiculous considering, pessach bagruyot and then end of the year issues
2. access- not all kids have access to the Net (at home I mean) even tho
it's an ort technological school
3. The fact that this has more or less been imposed on us from above 
without our agreement or cooperation being checked first (they deny this
and claim it is still only in the planning stages)
4. As regards the paper issue, that is not relevant to us as they are 
supposed to do everything online. We therefore raised the issue of 
viruses, and software (one of our teachers is a linux freak and refuses
to
use Microsoft and does not even have windows on his home computers)
5. We also talked about the fact that all this is bad timing together
with
the NBA so much new stuff to implement in one year..
6. Finally we wanted to know whether we would get any renumeration for 
all this extra work.
Needless to say we did not get any satisfactory answer to all of these 
valid points.
What would you do next? Go to the Irgun??
