600 jobs waiting today for English speakers at Tuesday's Jerusalem job fair
Haaretz - Nov. 25, 2008

More than 1,000 English-speaking job-seekers are expected at today's OU
Israel Job Fair in Jerusalem. The fair, where some 70 companies will be
seeking to fill more than 600 jobs throughout the country, is part of the
Orthodox Union's annual convention, which takes place this week in Israel.

The jobs offered at the fair are geared particularly at Israel's
English-speaking immigrant community, and include entry-level as well as
senior positions in fields that range from accounting and law to
engineering, teaching and technology. Among the companies and organizations
seeking to hire are Teva Pharmaceutical, Kodak, KPMG, the ministries of
education and immigrant absorption, as well as the Association of Americans
and Canadians in Israel. While most jobs require some level of fluency in
Hebrew as well, some positions are open to those who only speak English,
Michael Rosner, director of OU Israel's job board and the fair's head
organizer, told Haaretz.
