well, e2 needs a new keybinding system. the old one is really
unflexible because one can only bind keys to the main window. eg.
it's practically impossible right now to use something different than
ctrl-z to change focus to the command line. for the command line
itself, ctrl-z is hardcoded to switch back to the file panes. i'd rather
have a hierarchical system where the command line can inherit the key
bindings of the main window. this will also make the code a lot cleaner
without hardcoded keybindings. i'm also thinking about making it
possible to bind the mouse keys to an action like in gentoo, the file
manager.

the list.

i also like it very much. and nowadays, the question is more up to date
than ever, if you ask me.
