Just to clear up things - I'm not an emelfm2 developer, just a user,
translator and tester. If you're looking for the main developer, Tom is.

This may look like a refresh issue. Sometimes, directory deletion may
take some time if the directory is fairly large.

AFAIK, you're using the Arch package of emelfm2. It may be useful to
check which options have been enabled when the maintainer decided to
build the package.

If the problem remains, then you may be required to get emelfm2 latest
svn revision and build it yourself. This is *really* easy and can be
done in no time.

That's because when you first started emelfm2, its settings were saved
under the root profile. If you start it under a normal user account,
emelfm2 won't be able to retrieve anything under the root account.
