Hi
I'm testing the emelfm2 v0.4 uci extension for Damnsmalllinux.
When clicking on image files with jpg or jpeg suffixes, emelfm2 sometimes
throws up an 'ambiguous filetype' dialog, asking "What would you like to do
with ..'
If I click 'open', it opens and displays the file using the app I have set as
the first action in config - in my case this opens with xzgv.
emelfm2 does not exhibit this behavior with all jpegs, some it just opens. I am
not sure what the differentiating factor is.
This dialog is very annoying if the user just wants jpegs to open without this
intrusive dialog. Clearly emelfm2 knows or thinks the file is a jpeg file.
I have looked a bit at the source code but cannot see as yet how emelfm2
decides the file is of ambiguous type. The utility 'file' has no trouble
clearly identifying the files as jpegs. The extensions also clearly suggest
jpegs. What is wrong?
Is this a bug (I think so)?
Can the dialog be disabled and the likely filetype assumed with the action just
being taken?
If not, can short circuiting this dialog and just executing the likely action
instead be added as an option?
Thanks
