Easy: if you hate it, don't use it OR change your configuration for executable 
items (make it ask you for parameters, if that meets your needs), maybe an 
alias is relevant.

If you want to run something ad-hoc with parameter(s), use the "open-with" item 
from the context menu (with %f for the item name).

I run shell scripts quite regularly, without any parameters. Can't think of a 
good reason to make that harder, friends !!
