executable filetypes

Hey Tom and all,
I would really like to see clicking an executable file removed from
EmelFM2. Maybe, just to toss out a figure, 9 out of 10 binaries need a
directory and some parameters. I don't care if my figure is high or
low. There is no way the positives could outweigh the negatives for
clicking a random executable in an arbitrary directory with no
parameters. No! don't do that! I don't want to discuss this point,
No, No, No! Lose that stuff!
Politely, do any others have an opinion?
