I remember the discussion. AFAIK all of the matters raised were dealt with one
way or another quite some time ago, except removal of the debian unofficial dir
and its contents. IMHO the users of that stuff have a prior claim. Furthermore,
any packager who doesn't want it can readily ignore or delete it.
