Hi!
Thank you for your quick reply!
I checked all you said --> o.k.
..searched the internet a while and found my problem:
I don't know why but if I change LC_CTYPE from de_DE to de_DE.UTF-8 it
works fine!
So I go on the german translation of emelFM2 0.1.5
Maybe anyone can tell me why I have to change LC_CTYPE. I cant
understand that because all the other linux-programs with german local
file don't need that.
Thank you and greetings from germany
Ronny

specific letters. Is it a bug in emelFM2?
Usually this error is caused, if the encoding of the po/mo file is
wrong. Make sure, that your po file header has the two following settings:
"Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8\n"
"Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit\n"
The command `file your_german.po` should return something like
your_german.po: UTF-8 Unicode English text
You should use a fully UTF-8 capable editor (I prefer emacs for editing
po files as its po-mode is really good) for editing, too.
If those prerequisites are clearly met and do not solve your issue, feel
free to send me your .po and I'll recheck it on my system.
Regards
Marcus
