I am not sure about the actual problem, although I've also encountered
murky sorting in the past and I think it was blamed on obscure glib
behavior, but if you know at least part of the name you can always
'ctrl + t' and set a temporary filter on file names.


Users can unsubscribe from the list by sending email to 
emelfm2-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the subject field or by 
logging into the web interface.
