No, i think there is nothing.
Build your own deb Package, put it on USB-Stick or others and install it with dpkg -i In the latest source-code there is a directory called "debian-unofficial", rename it to "debian" and then do, instead of "make; make install" only a "dpkg-buildpackage -d" (as root) this will create a deb-Package and the deb-sources, which are easily installable.
