Here's what a Silver Hawk looks like:

Funny thing about the "Stewed Hawk" is that it has a 120" wheelbase.  My original thought (WAY back in the 60s) was to put one on a Corvette chassis.  I spose one could do it, but the frame would have to be stretched by almost 2 feet.  A 63 Vette (my original choice for a frame/drivetrain donor) has a wheelbase of only 98".  The logical donor would be a 71-76 Impala, which has a 119" wheelbase.  Wouldn't be much of a sports car, but it'd make an interesting freeway cruiser.

Here's a concept drawing I did of one:

Maybe eventually.

If I had my druthers right now (and relatively unlimited funding) I'd build a 75-79 Camaro with a 2.8L 60-degree V6 motor from a 3rd gen Camaro like my 88.  I'd add a turbocharger (or maybe a supercharger) and go after the F/CBFALT SCTA record which is obscenely soft at a screaming 32 MPH.  David Freiberger (HRM editor) set it on an open class when he melted down 6 of the 8 cylinders in his Camaro.  It originally had a "A" or "AA" sized motor (both over 400 CID) but after the carnage, they got it to run on 2 cylinders, re-entered it as a "F" motor car and had the push truck push it almost to the beginning of the measured mile and let it putter thru more or less under its own power to get that "record."

I love the 96 Impala, not sure it would fit in the garage... All your suggestions (not sure about that model studebaker) were huge! I like that-  the girlfriend told me I was crazy cause I wanted an Impala.  I want her to drive it too, maybe she will come around.
