Well I'm tired of it not working right. I wanted to get them working better and ended up going ahead and putting the SS housing in which doesn't work as well as my original... The oil gauge rarely works and the dash lights don't always work. So...

I pulled out the circuit board I made for the back of the gauges to hardwire them in... It will work as is. I just need to scrounge up some small wire to solder to it. I'll put it in the car and see what happens but... I'm also going to look at the dash light bulbs and see about hardwiring them all in. I will look at putting a hole in the socket and solder a wire to each bulb contact.

Here is a pic of the circuit board I made for the back of the gauges. Took a bit of fitting to get all the clearances just right. I thought of producing them and selling them on Ebay etc. Since the board covers the center bulb I mounted one on the board. A wide angle LED would work well too if on full brightness. I don't have the stuff to silk screen that green coating on the board though...

Also I need to get a headlight bracket and knob for the later gauge pod... Right now the only way I can do it is to leave the switch loose in there. If I screw it in place I can't t get it back apart.... Cause on the older ones the headlight knob fit through the hole in the bezel and it doesn't on the later ones. I can't remember but the 86+ had to have a smaller diameter knob...

FYI that's a set of either 78 or 79 gauges. Can't remember which. They have the round knob in the center with the pointer sticking off of it. IIRC 78 was red pointers and 79 was orange then 80 they changed to the longer orange pointers then again in 86.
