[elky] Neighbors... sort of

Ha, well I guess that's something to be... considered :-) (The grass
growing that is) we haven't had much time to even think about mowing,
thankfully the yard hasn't been telling us it needs it. We have had to water
nearly every day just to keep it from burning out.

We put our house up for sale trying to buy one, sold it the afternoon we
listed it. The house we tried to buy sold that next day to another buyer.
It was the only one we could afford in Charlies school boundaries. Trying
my best to keep him there. NO ONE would lease on a month to month, so we
ended up signing a six month lease in Briar Hills (I think Johns Brother
lives in this neighborhood), There is a small apartment complex in this
neighborhood. It keeps Charlie in his school, just in case, and puts us in
firing order for a new house when it comes available. We don't have to
worry about grass for this drought season, and will save us some money while
we save for our move up house.

Fun thing is ive learned a lot, I have a loan set up to have cash that day,
so when the right house comes available, I can buy even at a
trustees/sheriff/foreclosure sale and pay CASH that day- I didn't know there
was such a thing. The bank preapproved us, has us lined up, and don't have
to worry about a thing until we find the right house. We have our eyes on
one in particular, but you can never be certain of if or when it will be
sold. Hoping to nab it at foreclosure sale. It's a pretty awesome home,
but will likely need some TLC.

In other words, this weather kind of sucks, its way too hot to be moving
stuff, my body's telling me im way too old to be moving this stuff like I
am, and together a person is just plain crazy to doing it knowing Im gonna
have to be doing it again in a few months. The outcome and mid term(while
in the apartment) we don't have to worry about grass/lawn care/paint/fixing
stuff etc.... and will someday be in a much more desirable home.

John, we are looking in Your brothers neighborhood, but only 2 for sale in
the whole hood= both For sale by owners and both priced WAY too high- they
probably are wondering why all the others have sold and theirs have not...
The one I almost stopped to talk to the guy, not for his house his lot
sucks, but for the red 69 Charger he has in the garage- soooo nice!

We are envious - I have a bunch of house projects lined up for our
'staycation'. And we need a new furnace (ac hasn't been what it should be,
condenser shot).

A new directional signal for Blazer is laying in the pile.

Only car work has been to move them out of the way to get to the lawn
tractor. Weather has not gone to dry yet so grass is still growing like the
weeds it mostly is. Usually by now Helen is bare, the grass is brown and
has stopped growing.
