I don?t know, but I had to baby that truck to get 11.9 on the ave. mpg display, I tried and tried to be nice on the gas pedal, and it it rarely made it any higher. Mine was a half ton crew cab- I really loved the way that engine ran- I just loved hearing it scream- and that it did- I probably loved that truck more than the CTSV- of course the V was more fun to drive but like Robert said- they put so much crap into them- that truck had everything you could ask for and more(we used the DVD player with wireless headphones and?. Maybe 2 times) Too bad we cant have the better of both worlds- 1997 Chevy S10 got great mileage when I bought it new- now the colorados get the same as the ½ ton silverados and there is no comparison- if you?ve driven a Silverado/sierra you will hate driving the Colorado/canyon, and they aren?t priced that much apart, I don?t get it. I love driving my friends 3/4 ton 6.0. It's a joy to drive and I would love one but in town it's more like 12 (a year before cyl deactivation). But there like you said many other vehicles don't get any better mileage. The GFs PT cruiser gets 22 on the freeway and lower in town. A friends same year but auto gets 25+ and has quite a bit more get up and go. No better than a 1/2 ton truck... I wonder how much the mileage on some of the larger vehicles now could be raised by gutting all the extra weight out of them. Cars have so much crap in them now that people have to have but they don't realize that stuff adds weight. A mid size or often small car now weighs as much or more than the 70s cars.... Anything with any size gets pretty terrible mileage, it would be nice to be able to drive a car like that John! Well good to hear it has a good home and I did get to ride in it before you sold it. I know two people that have Minis. They kinda like them.. Small and they get shoved around on the road cause everyone ignores them. One is a stick on an auto. The auto gets quite a bit better mileage than the stick does. It's in the same league as the PT Cruiser in that the auto gets better mileage and has more power cause with that tiny engine it has to have a torque converter to get any kind of acceleration. Geri's PT feels like it has a 90hp engine cause it's the stick version. I do kind of like the clubman but my days of sitting on the ground and crawling out of Tonka big wheels are over. Make that thing about 3x as big and I'd want one. Decided to lease it and write it off on Cindy's company. That way, no car to fix. Tires and gas only for 3 years The Monte went to a real good home. The dude has 2 boys 8 and 12 that will be helping him fix it up for car shows. He loved it and was real impressed with how well it drove. Laid rubber all the way up the hill. I'll be able to see that In the street to remember it by.
