John,
Sweet that work bought a nicer machine for you .. so they have a tech
located in FL . ? was he someone who used to be in he city and moved, but
they kept his services? Kinda unusual, but my son had a gig like that for
an insurance co that was in CO., with a branch in AZ. He would make a trip
to AZ about 2x a year on the pay clock the entire time.
Ray, your printer issues suck, but I hope you have one now that will make
some money for you. You, I and about a zillion other folks are not happy
with most of the mfg's and their planned ink 'out' problems.

There are such things as "Twain Drivers" that if not installed properly can
haunt you for the rest of your natural life. Same way if your USB bus gets
freaky.
On the bight side.... Work finally bought me a computer that is powerful
enough to handle the new CAD system (new as in, since September of last
year). I bought a laptop that works well with it, at my expense (I am making
money with it, so it was easy to justify). Now I have to spend time
re-installing everything on it though. That will take weeks at the rate I
will be able to work on it. Eventually, all the stations at work will be
upgraded. For now though, it's going to be a long month.
Nice that they sprung for it though. Now I won't have to pack my laptop to
work every day.
