Well I have a bunch of their stuff and allot of their
rachets. I took one in yesterday to exchange it cause it was slipping
really bad and causing the well known Craftsman bloody knuckles. I take
them apart and clean and oil them when they start to cause problems. So
took this little 1/4" rachet in and got a new one. It's the 44807 rachet
and very popular, I have may of them and who doesn't.
So the clerk gives it to me with a reciept and we head home.
So I get home and i'm on the computer and I pull it out of my jacket pocket
and check to see how it clicks. Works perfect for tightening. Flick the
lever over to loosen and it slips in my finger tips. What a piece of
crap... I am so tired of their crap quality. I have rachets that I have
bought at Harbor Freight that are made in China that I have never had a
problem with but when it comes to this american made stuff it's pure garbage.
Todays plan maybe... depending on weather.. Is to go to the
junk yard and look for a few things for me and some for Jared and others..
I asked Geri if she wanted to go and she did and even the daughter(14)
wants to come (weird...). So I think I'll swing by the sears by there and
return this piece of garbage. Maybe I can get them to upgrade it to a
better rachet.... Or maybe I should buy some more at Harborfreight cause
they have never slipped once.
So is it just me that notices that Craftsman tools are
cheaply made? I haven't gotten into how their open end wrenches roll around
bolts....
