I vote for a quick switch to Jack's machines. At worst, it will only be
temporary. It does solve the immediate problem of privacy.

I'll suggest again before we go back to LSOFT...if someone already has host
service somewhere, all we need to do is purchase a domain for $10 per year.
Then
we can host as many discussion lists as we want. I think that someone already
even owns a shoppahs domain.

As I suspected, the "realtime" emails are private, but the double talking SOBs

They don't tell users that up front, you have to ask the right questions,
which I just now got around to doing.

May I suggest that someone do some digging to make sure that none of our
old LSOFT emails can be found via similar google or other search mechanisms ?

In the meantime, I will contact LSOFT ( our previous provider) and see about
getting us back on that system. At this point, I really don't trust ANY free
system, the old adage comes to mind........................

There just ain't no such thing as a free lunch.

In our case, we cannot expect a free server to be accountable to us, that
would
imply an exchange of money.

Sorry for being too trusting, this just reinforces my normal cynical nature,
which I'll be going back to, thank you very much.

And....................Mike, thanks for being a trouble maker, you may have
ruined the good day I was having, but thanks.

PS. This raises another question though, do any of our personal email
providers
make email archives open to public search ?
