Dear Colleague,
Worcester Polytechnic Institute is pleased to announce an opening in our
desire to hire someone that interested in education games into a tenure
track position. We anticipate the candidate would be tenured in the
computer science department, and teach in both 1) the growing Interactive
Media and Game Development <http://imgd.wpi.edu/> Program Graduate and
Undergraduate programs, and 2) the Learning Sciences and Technology
<http://www.wpi.edu/academics/lst/gradprograms.html> Graduate Program.
We hope such a candidate can find interdisciplinary colleagues to work with
here at WPI.
Candidate are expected to create games that are meant to promote student
learning. WPI has a program that that has 50,000 middle school students
using ASSISTments, and that testbed can serve as a subject pool for
candidate games to teach middle school math. Candidates might want to
investigate this resource to see if their research program would benefit to
