Scansoft also has a programme called pdf professional which will allow you
to convert pdf files directly into word. Interestengly enough, if you find
that if a pdf file is password protected, it will ask you for a password.
However, if you simply press enter, it will start fconverting immediately.

There are a number of OCR packages such as OmniPage Pro that will convert
PDF to text, and subsequently save the output to the format of choice. Some
of these packages also allow for scanning directly into programs such as
word processors. If I remember correctly, at one time, I believe I had a
version of OmniPage automatically imputing the output of a scan into DBT. I
think it was about the time of DBT 10.4. (But that is a best guess.)

Hi,

It is an image of text.

So what can I do?

You will need to open the file in Adobe Reader, and provided the text is not
an image of text, save it as Text.

You will then be able to open the .txt file in DBT or Word.

George.
