Teri, Hi, I do believe that the underline or underscore symbol is actually 4-5-6, 4-5-6 (ie two of) which would explain the three 4-5-6 symbols between Murray and Thorn. Hope this helps. -----Original Message----- From: Teri McElroy [mailto:teri@xxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, 13 November 2003 12:35 PM To: dbt Subject: [duxuser] computer code on special symbols page Hi I need to put some computer code symbols on a special symbols page. I already have the symbols for begin and end computer code, at, period etc. The other symbols I need to list are underline or underscore and the symbol to indicate an upper case individual letter. e.g. the e-mail address in the text is Murray_Thorn@xxxxxxxxxxxx When dbt translates this, I get three cells in a row each with dots 456 between Murray and Thorn. Dots 456 is the computer code underline symbol as well as the symbol which goes in front of each letter to show it is upper case. Can someone please clarify for me 1. Can I list 456 once on the special symbols page and say it is underline and upper case indicator, or do I list the same symbol separately with the two different explanations? My inclination is to list separately. 2. Why has dbt put three of these 456 symbols together. The capital m of Murray only has 1 456 in front to show the upper case letter, yet the upper case t of thorn has two.
