Hi Francis,
I don't know if it is still available, but I found an excellent print book in
the "Running" series called, "Running Microsoft Word 2000". (ISBN
1-57231-943-7 from Microsoft Press) It costs $39.99 (recommended) and is worth
every one of its 920 odd pages.
It's not necessarily the kind of book you read from cover to cover, but is
something every office should have as a reference book.
Having said that, I believe anyone involved in training or typing supervision,
should study the first three chapters in detail. Word Basics, Writing and
Editing Tools, and Formatting Tools.

Hello George:
Is there some sort of encyclopedia that one could turn to to use MsWord
properly? I remember when we used WordPerfect 5.1 for DOS, I had purchased a
similar book for the office and everybody used it.
I too emphasize to my students the need to use the appropriate styles in the
print documents so that the Braille formatting would be less troublesome and a
"Word Bible" would be a handy tool. At this time, however, my former employers
at the bank where I worked have retained my services on contract to teach the
sighted folks how to use Word and Excel properly and to let the computer do the
work as opposed to using it like a glorified typewriter.
