Hi Tamru,

Although perhaps a shade off topic, I thought an answer
might be of general interest.

Paper for embossers which use sprocket holed continuous
paper comes in large reels. Here in the UK, these reels are
generally either 3,000 or 6,000 yards long.

The machinery used to punch the sprocket holes and perforate
each sheet, is actually a sophisticated printing press,
except that in the case of braille paper which is not
printed, there is no need to use printing plates.

The machines themselves are both large and very expensive,
and certainly unlikely to be within the budget of even a
large braille producer.

George.
