[duxuser] Re: Wish list & Re: Re: Command line options for DBT for windows (ver10.4)

Hi Dale,

Try telling a professional transcriber that Duxbury is for them, and stand back
for the abuse that will likely follow as they tell you Megadots and others are
for REAL transcribers! (Big Smile!)

I sypathise with your problems, and indeed fully understand your frustration in
your other message about Word Perfect Tables.

I'm hoping some kind of solution to Table handling will emerge from the duck
pond in the not too distant future, but of course I won't make any promises on
their behalf.

However, I have to say that 90% of the problems we deal with are essentially
due to the incorrect use of Word Processors. For example, I've seen tables
where instead of using a Table format or even tabulation, columns have been
separated by simply pressing the spacebar. And instead of using Control +
Return to create a new page, carriage returns have been used to force material
to a new page.

Trying applying program logic to deal with these two issues, and you'll get
just the tiniest idea of what faces the braille transcription program writer.
