Hi Robert,

There a few issues here.

First, it would be helpful to know what make and model your
Braille notetaker is.

Second, it's possible that your text document contains hard
carriage returns in illogical places. Tricky to determine,
but thankfully DBT has a "Join Lines" option in its Layout
menu.

Third, you will likely need to save your Braille document as
a File Type .brf using DBT's "Save As" rather than Save.

As regards general parameter advice, I suspect this may
depend on your note taker, and I'm sure others will chip in
when we know what it is.

George.

Subject: [duxuser] Translating Text

Hi,
Its been ages since I was on the list due to other
projects. Have a
simple question I hope.

I want to convert a text document into formatted braille
for reading on
my braille note taker. The text looks ok but when I view
the translation in
DBT and when I open it in my braille note taker, some lines
do not wrap
properly. DBT says Page Width Exceeded. So perhaps I need
to set the
margins? What are the ideal settings and is that all it
will take? Am
using DBT 6.  Thanks.
