[duxuser] Reversal of style codes

I am wondering if anyone can explain to me what I am doing wrong in order to end of with the following:

I have a document which has many levels of headings.

Sometimes, when after applying a heading style eg: h1 or h2, when I then follow the closing style name with a [p] code in order to cause the start of the next line to indent as for a new paragraph, I find that rather than putting in the [p] code instead it puts the codes for the previously used style name, but it reverses them.

For example I would see:
<h1.> Chapter One</h1.>
</h1.> <h1.> It was Sunday morning...

When I should see:
<h1.>Chapter One</h1.>
[p]It was Sunday morning...

The way round this that I have found to indent the paragraph of text is to use a tab key. The situation does not right itself until the next heading style is used.

Any suggestions would be welcomed.

With thanks

Christine
