I am looking for recommendations on efficient solutions for efficiently
assisting in the reading of BRF files that fulfills the following requirements.

* Can process ".BRF" files from NLS WebBraille, Duxbury, and Megadots sources.
* Portable.
* 40 characters 8 dot Braille.
* Capability to bookmark sections in multiple files simultaneously.
* QUickly search for page number or key text.
* Efficient controls for moving to the next line once a line has been read.

* moving efficiently to the next braille page.
* Reliable.

As a student I am dealing with about 2000 Braille pages a semester.
Embossing this quantity and carrying it with me in paper form is out of the
question.

I currently use a Focus 40 Blue so a computer based solution is workable as
long as it can handle the requirements. Programs such as notepad although they
permit reading the braille, do not have any capability for book marking for
fast page navigation.
A solution that utilizes a note taker approach is also workable assuming that
the above requirements are met. The reason that I have specified the minimum
display size as 4 characters is so that formatted braille is maintained such as
tables.
