Kathleen,

Here's how I determine the number of pages in a translated file:

1. Bring the file into DBT and translate it.

2. Go to the end of the translated file by pressing Control-End.

3. Use the Window-Eyes Review cursor to locate the DBT status line at the bottom of your screen. At the right side of the status line, you will find the page number, along with the line and column location of DBT's cursor. Since you have positioned the cursor at the end of the file, the page number you hear will accurately tell you how many pages the file will be.

This is a better approach than trying to estimate the number of pages based on file size because the number of pages can vary depending on the number of characters per line and the number of lines per page. The numbers on the DBT status line are correctly calculated regardless of what settings you're using. Good luck.
