[duxuser] Re: HOW MANY PAGES WOULD THIS BE

Hello, Kathleen.

You didn't say which type of file it is. If it is plain ASCII text, a K will
be about one braille page. If it is a Word file, and you know how many print
pages it is, a rough estimate is that a print page will yield about three
braille pages.

Hi Duxbury Listers,

I am running an older version of Duxbury, Windows 98, and
Window-Eyes 4.2.
My employer wants me to transcribe a file whose size is 146
kb.
I am wondering if there is a way to know how many Braille
pages this would be?
I do not know how to have Window-Eyes tell me. I am hoping
there is some standard way to estimate pages according to
file size.

Thanks.
