I think he is referring the editor that opens when you start a new file in DBT
or import from Word.o

Hi Saaqib,
Your first task will have to be to convert the PDF files into an editable
format such as Word for Windows.
Next is the task of checking that what you have converted has been done
properly. Bear in mind that things like pictures will possibly require Alt
Text to be added.
Ideally you should apply Word Styles for things like Chapter Headings, as
that will be something less to do in DBT itself.
Since braille uses many more pages than print, be aware that you may then
need to split large files up into smaller "volumes".
When you open a file in DBT's text editor, you can still make changes before
you translate.
I would strongly recommend you begin with a short document while you become
familiar with the process.
You will almost certainly have quite a few questions to ask.
George

Subject: [duxuser] How to translate a PDF file into braille?
Hello everyone in the DuxUser group?
Hope you're having a wonderful time.
I have a couple of PDF files (some books on the English grammar) which I
would like to translate into braille, make any neccessary modifications, and
then emboss these files using the Everest-D V4 embosser of the Index Braille,
Sweden, for the benefit of a few blind people.
What are my options with the Duxbury Braille Translator (DBT) 12.1?
I know that there is a feature called Index Direct Braille in Everest-D V4,
but it does not have any option of editing the braille file BEFORE embossing.
What if I emboss a 500-page book and then find out that there were some
issues with the braille copy (the tables, for example, were not rendered
correctly?
Or, is there a way of previewing the output of the Index Direct Braille?
Regards.
