Hi Diane,
I took a risk and closed down the computer and then rebooted it. When I
opened DBT, a screen pop-up and I was able to open the unsaved file. Before
working on it some more, I immediately saved it, so I didn't have a chance
to permanently have it lost. I usually save a file before beginning my work,
so I can save in small increments with the Control-S keystroke. I guess I
learned my lesson real quick.
Thanks for responding.
Cordially,
Eileen

It is possible to open a file not properly saved.

Subject: [duxuser] Duxbury Closed: New Braille document was not saved.
Hello Folks,
I have never had this one happen before. I am running DBT 11.1 (current
version) and the new braille document that I have been working on was not
saved. Duxbury closed and now the error message is asking me to "wait for it
to respond" or if I close it I will lose the work I have been working on. Is
there a recovery feature like one has in Word 2010 in Duxbury? If I wait for
it to respond, I may be waiting forever. What can I do to not lose the
document I am working on?
Thanks for your assistance.
Best,
Eileen
