Kaye,

How about the idea of an  indent/runover option in the Document Layout 
Menu?  This option could bring up a dialogue box in which you could
enter 
the values you want for indent and runover, with defaults to, say, an 
indent of 1 and a runover of 2.  This way, you could truly change these 
values as required.
