No, Steve, you are correct.

EBAE Rule XIII.43 says:
"Be," "Con," and "Dis:"  The lower part-word contractions "be," "con," and
"dis" may be used only as syllables at the beginning of a word or at the
beginning of a line in a divided word, except that they may be used after a
hyphen in a hyphenated compound word.

Hi everyone,

Yesterday I was surprised to find that Duxbury translates "Beatman" as
,2atman (this won't make much sense if you're not using a braille display).
I thought it should be translated as ,b1tman  Am I wrong?  If so, I'd like
to know why.
