It's a pity SWIFT doesn't seem to work with the Betas. Any way of fixing

George beat me to the punch by ten minutes -- I was just writing the same
thing to you myself. Nice work, George!
You should also know that similar problems drove George nuts years ago. So
he and another clever fellow from the UK worked up a Word Add-In called
SWIFT that can help find unrecognized styles in Word documents and help you
map them to DBT styles. Have you ever tried SWIFT?
(I'll be looking at the document corruption/lockup issue now. But the good
news is that Mike may already have solved those. We'll probably be posting
beta 3 early in the upcoming week, because there are a couple of serious
crash/lockup issues resolved.)

I've just had a quick look at your Word file.
Most of the main paragraphs have a Word Style called "p"
applied.
DBT does not know of a Word Style called "p", and therefore cannot map it to
a DBT Style.

Hello Peter:
Attached is a DXP file which I opened in DBT 10.6. I had the problem text
being grabbed into a style (the screen shot I sent you earlier). Also
towards the end of the document when it comes to "1970s" it freezes. I was
trying to apply level 2 heading style and it goes into a freeze mode. It
happened three times at that exact same spot. I had to log out and start
again every time. I am wondering if you can figure out why??
I have also attached a word file for the same job, It did not recognize any
paragraphs at all in DBT.

Here is another example of text getting grabbed by a style, and the style
splitting the HDS style.
I tried to insert a dxp file (already created in 10.5) into a new job in
10.6
Using the standard template. The styles look strange and regular text
becomes part of style.
