Peter, Could this be made a standard Windows type sound process? i.e. simply playing a wave file? That way, users could optionally replace the wav file with one of their own. (I rather think the kids would love hearing "Big Ben" booming out - smile) George. -----Original Message----- From: duxhelp-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:duxhelp-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Peter Sullivan Sent: 24 March 2006 02:14 To: duxhelp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [duxhelp] Re: margin bell position Joanie, The setting is supposed to stick. We'll have to look into that. And while we never thought to build in a volume adjustment, the idea is that the bell is supposed to be at a volume comparable to other system notification sounds. So I've a bit to look into here. Thanks again. - Peter -----Original Message----- From: duxhelp-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:duxhelp-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Joanmarie Diggs Sent: Thursday, March 23, 2006 7:22 PM To: duxhelp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [duxhelp] Re: margin bell position Update: It tolls for me. :) The toll was quiet compared to the rest of the sounds on this computer (beeps, alerts, screen readers, etc.). Too much rock music as a youth I guess.... Although the value still is not showing up in the View Preferences dialog. Any chance it could display the current value, just like the current six-key set gets displayed? --Joanie > -----Original Message----- > From: duxhelp-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > [mailto:duxhelp-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Joanmarie Diggs > Sent: Thursday, March 23, 2006 7:14 PM > To: duxhelp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: [duxhelp] Re: margin bell position > > Ah, thanks for the clarification.
