In a message after this one, you mentioned that the diagnostics page was
printed as graphics, because that mode was "left over" from embossing a
graphics image previously.
Perhaps the same thing is going on here.
Do you get a "squished" page number embossed when you emboss Bart after a
fresh power-up?

When I embossed the Bart graphic on my Express 150, it also embossed the
page number at the upper right hand corner in "high density" mode, which
means that it came out looking squished.
I will run your test shortly and report the results.
