<smile> I did not use either of those styles. Can you tell I don't use the BANA template as much as I should? I didn't number the pages in Word. Instead, I just imported the document into Duxbury with the soft page breaks as they were. When I do this using Duxbury's textbook format, the text that follows a reference page number is not formatted as a new paragraph. --Joanie _____ From: duxhelp-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:duxhelp-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Susan Sent: Monday, April 17, 2006 3:42 PM To: duxhelp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [duxhelp] Re: The BANA template creates new paragraphs when reference page numbers appear mid-page I also just tested the BANA page number and it's fine in both Word and DBT. Joanie, did you used the RefPageNumberEmbed style (which is a character style), vs the RefPageNumber style? I'm attaching a Word file for you to check out. If you open this in DBT using the BANA template, you should find the runover after the page number is at the margin as it should be. Susan
