Lissa,

(Sorry, my fingers somehow managed to hit "Control-S" when I only meant
"S".)

It appears to me that the closest we currently have to a "how-to" is what
you get when you push F1 in the Layout, Generate Table of Contents dialog.

You can only get to that dialog from within a braille document.

As far as I know, the TOC generator is working properly.  It has some
limitations; notably, it will not automatically exclude use of the top and
bottom lines of a page, when these are used in part for page numbers.

Beyond that, I can offer two tips:
1. Use one of our standard templates and put things to be in the TOC in
<h1.>, <h2.>, or <h3.> style.
2. Place the cursor where you want the TOC to be generated before selecting
that function.

If you do have some problem using this feature, a sample file will help me
to understand what the trouble is.
