Hi Jack,

You wouldn't find any files like "DBT02*" as previous versions were called
"DBT2.dot" and "DBT3.dot".

An easy way to check if an earlier version of SWIFT is installed is to check
Word's menu bar. If "DBT" shows up twice, then 2 versions of the template must
be in Word's start up folder.

Cheers.

Ian

The message, "cannot find an executable, is from latest_0602, not the Beta,
but I didn't find any files dbt02.* anywhere. I would only be using Swift if I
were editting directly from Word, so unless others report problems, I think my
problems are idiosyncratic.

    Hi Geo
      -----
      Hi George:
It turns out the problem doesn't lie with swift, it's a broken
installation of Word, which I can do nothing about. I have coaxed to start,
after about 15 seconds, so it will initiate DBT from word. I've had to do
several attempts on word to make it get this far. So,in the final analysis,
probably nothing wrongOriginal Message -----

      Hi Jack,

Exactly what do you do to arrive at a point where you get this message?

      George.

        Hi all:

I can't seem to get swift to function. It can't seem to find a valid
version of DBT. The submenue is "Duxbury Braille. I am led to believe that
swift is automatically installed, and so it must be as the DBT menu on word
seems to disappear when DBT is removed,

        Will keep trying
        Jack
