Huzzah! For what it's worth, the DBT_CODESEDIT class isn't new. We're improving it a great deal for DBT 10.5, but the window class has been in place since DBT 10.1. So Caryn's tip should help current users too. - Peter -----Original Message----- From: duxhelp-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:duxhelp-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Caryn Navy Sent: Friday, May 28, 2004 12:28 PM To: duxhelp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [duxhelp] Re: Shortcut preferences Hello all. I just made an adjustment in my JAWS settings that seems to fix this problem. I brought up the Global settings menu - Shortcut preferences dialog. With the highlight on the first item in the Shortcut preferences dialog, I brought up the JAWS utility "Window class reassign." This brings up a dialog about the new class called "DBT_CODESEDIT" (the capitalization of CODESEDIT messes up the pronunciation). In the next field, called "Assign to:" I arrowed down to the choice called Edit. Then I pushed the button labeled "Assign new class." That takes care of saving a revised dbtw.jcf file. After doing that, I found that the labels are spoken in the Shortcut preferences dialog. This change will be in the next set of JAWS script files. Especially as Dave put a message on this list saying that switching the JAWS Verbosity to "Beginner" level fixed the problem for him. Cheers.
