Joanie,

What you're observing is explained simply by the fact that the instant the
Document, Embosser Setup dialog is displayed, the selected embosser's
"sticky document settings" (not the document's) will be shown. This is the
essence of the problem that Tesfaye reported at the start of the thread.

Subject: [duxhelp] Issue with the Document: Embosser Setup dialog

The Document: Embosser Setup dialog *displays* the global settings, but
seems to be retaining the changes you make to the document. To reproduce:

1. Create a simple document, translate it into braille, and then get into
the Document: Embosser Setup dialog

2. Change the Characters per line to something else (I changed mine from 31
to 30) and press the OK button

3. The "Your document will be reformatted" dialog appears (Mine is Old
Format: 31 New Format: 30)

4. Get back into the Document: Embosser Setup dialog. Characters per line
will display the old value, rather than the new value (i.e. mine says 31).
Change it to something different (I changed mine from 31 to 32) and press
the OK button

5. The "Your document will be reformatted" dialog appears (Mine is Old
Format: 30 New Format: 32)

Take care.
Joanie
