Mike

Thanks for your instructions. They seem to have worked well. I can now look and
see how DBT is coping with MathType.

David,

The file needs to be run by regedit.exe. If Windows is asking you what
program to use to open the file and does not display regedit as an option,
then it should give you the option of browsing for it; it should be in
c:\windows (or c:\winnt if you're running NT or 2000).

You can also save the file, run regedit (Windows+R to get to the run
dialogue, then type regedit), then select File, Import to import the file.

Hope this helps.

Peter

The link is now working but I now need to know how to make the file work!
When I try to run the file I get a message telling me that it is not
recoginsed. Presumably I need to put the file somewhere or run it in a
different way than I am used to doing (I use DBT but have only limited
technical knowledge!)

David,

The link should now be available from the beta home page.

Best Regards,

Peter

Peter

I am particularly interested in the MathType feature. However, from the link
on http://partners.duxburysystems.com/beta.asp?product=DBT
<http://partners.duxburysystems.com/beta.asp?product=DBT>

"MathType Support

If you have MathType 5 installed, DBT can use it to directly import MathType
and Equation Editor objects (mathematics expressions) in Word 97-2003. (In
fact, if you've also enabled Word 2007 support, as described above, DBT can
use MathType 5 to read MathType objects within Word 2007 files too.)

To enable this feature, open the file here. This file will modify your
registry to enable DBT to use MathType 5 as a file importing aid. "

I get an error when I click on the "here". Any advice?
