[dungeoncrawl] Re: The Gods of Despair

That is an interesting idea, but I would see Warf as more of a war deity.
He is a cavalier after all, so he has a sense of honor, more suited to a
warrior. I don't see him slavery or imprisonment, because he would want to
kill his enemy, not enslave or imprison him.

However, that did get me thinking about Shadow. What about Shadow, LE or NE
(I forget) God of Subterfuge, Assassinations, Poison, Hired Killers, Death
in the Night? Not outright despair like disasters or destruction, but a
more sinister fear like being afraid of the dark or shadowy places. Kind of
like the Boogie Man. :)

But having said that, I would like to see Warf somewhere. Where else did
you think we needed someone to round it out?

I have an idea! I was looking for another god of despair, and I
noticed that the gods of hope are supposed to directly oppose them, and
that a strong sense of both CG and freedom runs through the gods of
hope. How about this for a new god of despair: Warf, LE God of Slavery
and Imprisonment? I see him as a god who believes that the strong
should be able to do whatever they wish with the weak, including using
them for their own purposes. What does everyone else think?
