Cool! I'll help you with that tonight. I think we can have him
playable within thirty minutes, tops. I also have some good ideas about
what we can do with him. Let me see if it is ok with you and Jim.
    I see Gadget as a 15th level rogue. I don't think he's a fighter; he
has some combat skills, but rogue gives him more style and panache. It also
gives him access to more skill points and a broader set of skills for an
inspector. I then would suggest Matt pick about 6 of his favorite Gadgets,
and Jim treats them as magical items. They could be destroyed and would
make item saving throws; after all, those systems could easily be slagged or
taken out by attacks. When Matt wants a new "gadget" he could design it,
get Jim's approval, and then go through a process somewhat akin to magical
item creation. How does that sound?
I'm very excited about this. I think we can make Gadget one of the
coolest characters we have, and one that can hold his own with the rest of
the characters at his level. Let me know what you think!
