[drivingpairs] transporting carriages across the USA

I found a great carriage I want to buy. The problem is that it is in
Virginia and I am in Southern California. I am usually up for a good
excuse to make a road trip. But now that I have a 2.5 year old son I
can't just up and go. I have never hired someone to transport
something like that. Does anyone here have experience with it?
Who would I contact?
How much should I expect it to cost? (the carriage is tall and 13.5
feet long)
I am betting that with the price of transportation this carriage will
be out of my price range. I just wanted to check for sure.
~cheers,
Wendy
