Finally! Our pairs harness has arrived and we can get on with the business of
working our two girls as a pair.
Darryl and I will be doing our training with our
trainer/instructor/mentor/friend Gene Brown of Training Resources in Pilot
Point, Texas. Gene has been my carriage driving guru since my starting in the
sport.
The two girls are my Polish Arabian mares who have driven successfully as
singles. My lovely Brandy Alexandra -- also known as "Sissy" -- won the Novice
Championship at the 2001 Heritage Classic Morgan Horse Show and was competing
at the Preliminary Level in Combined Drivihng before her retirement from
competition as a single. CFT Tribal Dance -- aka "TD -- is a ten-yaer-old
Wisdom-bred Country Pleasure mare who was started and trained in carriage
driving by Gene. They should make a dandy pair!
Marjean, I have received two separate acknowledgements of the e-mail message I
composed and sent to Mr. Balch. Apparently, this issue is not going to go away
quietly. Well, not if we can keep the volume turned up! I believe the response
to their decision has caught the somewhat sanctimonious committee off guard!
